The Role:
Exciting role within the largest International subsidiary of the US Polaris Inc, NYSE listed company. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, as a Senior Financial Accountant, your role will be to complete financial accounting activities for the company, supporting the production of accurate and timely financial information for internal and external use, as well as maintaining the integrity of accounting records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of ANZ’s monthly and year-end local financial reporting for Financial Controller’s review before submission
• Preparation of journals and Balance Sheet reconciliations for ANZ operation
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts for ANZ operation for Financial Controller’s review before submission
• Cash flow management
• Management of all indirect and direct taxes for ANZ Operations
• Assistance with streamlining key processes on a new accounting system (D365)
• Assistance in the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax returns for ANZ operation - preparation of Income Tax, Payroll Tax, and FBT Calculations
• Preparation and lodgment of BAS and other activity statements
• Perform analysis of monthly/quarterly results and management reports
• Management of FX revaluation calculations
• Management of intercompany loans in FX currency
• Ad-hoc analysis and reporting tasks for the group as required
• Assisting with the year-end internal and external audit
• Financial analysis
• Attends all internal and external meetings if Financial Controller is unavailable
• Finance related tasks as per business requirements
• Assists the offshore Finance Shared Service Team with queries as required
Skills & Experience :
• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting/Finance)
• More than 5 years post-graduate experience
• A CA / CPA qualification is a must
• Commercially astute
• Big 4 experience preferable
• Has significant experience with Month End Closure and Financial Analysis
• Must have previously used Dynamics 365 or AX or any other ERP system
• Highest attention to detail, the ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently and agility to meet demands of an evolving business environment
• Ability to confidently communicate financial information with a range of internal and external (external audit, suppliers) and other stakeholders
• High level of integrity and professional standards
• Must have year-end reporting and annual audit experience
• Take responsibility for identifying issues and ensuring that effective solutions are found and implemented
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Deadline and performance-driven
